Move it to our high performing custom servers, support the website and make sure its functional, fast and user friendly. When this is done, create a robust performance marketing plan to increase sales and decrease dependability on Skroutz.
How it was made
Time To Shine
When we initially got this project was in a terrible state. Daily downtime, poor performance, user experience bugs and more. We saw many reasons why it didn't perform. We had to do something
We started with the basics. A high performing server, advanced caching mechanisms and bug fixing. The site never had downtime again, which was quite refreshing to see. To put it to perspective, we had more than 99.999% uptime in the span of 3 years.
We did some small redesigning on the basic layouts and user friendliness and started adding small features that would help engage users and improve sales.
When we stabilised the platform and the website, it was time to scale with marketing!
Off To The Races
Our next big goal was to create a robust performance marketing campaign plan that would increase sales while at the same time decrease dependability in the Skroutz platform.
We went from a 95% of sales coming from skroutz to 40% in less than 3 years. We used all the available mediums with clever marketing and advertising, email marketing, viber campaigns you name it. We did it all.
And boy, we got some results!
Within a few months the ROAS of the business was skyrocketing. Our worst months were around ROAS 5X and we had some pretty good ones in the area of upwards ROAS 20X, but we are just showing you the typical results we repeatedly got.
From Struggling To Thriving
Up until mid-2023 where we were working on scaling the marketing efforts we were consistently getting ROAS between 9X to 12X every month with some crazy months as you can see.
Sure there was a peak during the lockdowns, but even afterwards the demand kept going strong. This is because at the same time we were doing performance marketing, we were also working on branding and making sure the brand has a sufficient level of awareness.
Stable Growth
That made the company really profitable, with sales increasing 3X in total per year.
The combination of a stable platform, snappy performance and great user experience made this project a success. We took it over at its lowest and we made sure we surpassed its best by a long shot.
