Galatis Luxury Hair Salon
Brief
Luxury Hair Salon offer high quality hair styling and beauty services since 2004. Recently the founders of the salons, Akis Galatis & Gerasimos Galatis decided to create a complete online presence by creating a beautiful website reflecting their hair salons luxurious style.
Objective
The two salons are located in very different areas of the country, Patras & Santorini. This created unique needs for color palettes and styling as there are cultural differences between those locations, one being a famous Greek island and the other in the mainland.
The Setting
Each salon has unique target groups and had to highlight specific services for each one. Patras salon wanted to focus on the student community, while Santorini salon had a global focus and targeted specifically weddings and other global events that were taking place on the island.
Development
There was a specific need for every website in terms of usability. They had to be 2 completely separate CMS systems. Every salon needed to have their own logins to their own system adding different content to each website. Santorini's website needed to be multilingual, some of the languages were translated by professional translators some auto translated from online translate service.
Last but not least, we optimized every aspect of the page for search engines by following all on-page SEO practices. Google rewarded the websites with high ranking, for their chosen keywords, quickly due to our efforts on SEO. Google analytics and Search Console tools were installed and helped us optimize the website.
Online Booking
Both salons needed a system to get online bookings from their website visitors. Since their bookings come from multiple communication channels they needed a way to unify them. The website served as a first point of contact where the user can book an appointment easily. The salon crew can then verify their bookings from other channels and confirm or re-book the appointment by contacting the customer directly.
Professional Photography
The website needed to scream creative quality everywhere. The choice of professional photography of the salon was a no brainer. Our photographer went on the spot and photographed the salon using the ideas of the owner and his own creativity. The result rewarded everyone for their efforts.
One of the colors that define Greek islands are pure whites, clear like the Greek sunshine. For this project we chose a soft grey - white combination for the most website parts, with a bright purple inspired by the salons interior design. This added the Luxury Hair Salon's spirit to the website. We wanted to preserve the Greek island culture and add a flair of Greek personality into the website colors, inviting visitors to try out bold hair styles that show off mediterranean Greek beauty.
