Arkhon needed a fresh redesign of a very old looking website. The old website had flash which was deprecated, lots of security holes and had been hacked a few times. They trusted wefixit to create a good looking website, that is also fast and secure.
We redesigned the whole website from the ground up, while at the same time keeping their CMS and hardening its security to make it extremely difficult to unauthorized access anymore. The whole project resulted in a very professional looking website that projects the company's global reach and vision.
How it was made
We've put a lot of effort in this area. In Arkhon's industry most websites look horrible, as if they are stuck in 2000s. We needed a clean, professional looking website, that breathes authority to its visitors. It was also designed to be completely responsive, an area that competitive companies were still weak in terms of design.
Our attention to detail made the company's website well established among its competitors and set the standards for their website redesigns.
While this type of websites are mostly informational websites, we tried to help the end user as much as possible by providing them with useful information along their path. User experience is something that we focus on every project we design.
All pages have relevant info that guide someone into finding what they are looking for. For example if someone is browsing housing applications, we show them what kind of materials they need to use for that kind of projects.
Let's get technical
Global reach. Arkhon is a company with worldwide reach. As such the site was developed to be multilingual, starting with 2 basic languages, English and Greek, professionally translated. We have already planned for the addition of more languages in the near future without any hassle.
Since the global market is important, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) was a very big topic on this project. Arkhon already has a steady appearance in Google Adwords but organic reach is the long term goal of the company. We have great results so far and each day the website climbs up the ranking ladder.
We had to make sure that the product pages had all the product information for the visitor. But at the same time it had to be very easy to navigate and we had to keep the user experience level high. For that reason we designed a multi tabbed interface for presenting the right info to the right users when they need it. This enabled us to have all the information available, accessible and within reach of the user with a couple of clicks.
