After our founder, Nick, fell in love with Drupal 8 and Twig we decided to participate and help out in Drupal community events and sprints and of course learn a lot from our colleagues and maybe contribute a little. We have co-hosted and volunteered on a number of Drupal events and we plan on getting involved even more in the future.

Why Drupal and not WordPress?

Drupal is built for complexity: strict user permissions, structured content models, real multilingual support and an architecture that holds up as requirements keep growing. WordPress is the better answer for a small presentational site or blog on a tight budget, and we build those too. If your project involves sensitive data, many editors or integrations with other systems, Drupal is usually the cheaper choice over its lifetime.

Is Drupal overkill for a company our size?

Sometimes it is, and we will say so. The useful test is what year three looks like: if you will have several content types, different editor roles, two languages or a system to connect to, Drupal saves you from building everything a second time. If you need five pages and a contact form, we will point you at something simpler.

We are on an old Drupal version. Can you upgrade us?

Yes, this is routine work for us. We move content, files and functionality onto a current, supported version, just as we regularly migrate data in from other systems. Before quoting, we assess what can be carried over as is and what is worth rebuilding, so nothing surprises anyone halfway through.

Can Drupal connect to our ERP or CRM?

Yes. Third-party integrations and data migrations are a core part of what we do in Drupal, which by nature works well as the hub the other systems feed into and read from. Tell us which systems are involved and what APIs they expose, and we map the integration before development starts.

Who keeps it secure and up to date after launch?

Drupal has its own security team and a predictable update cycle, but somebody still has to apply and test those updates. We handle that under our maintenance service: updates pass through development and staging before they touch the live site, and we take on major version upgrades as they arrive. The code is standards-based and documented, so another team could maintain it if you ever needed that.
