If you love taking a project from “blank Drupal install” to a polished, fast, conversion-friendly website… and you can jump between UI, templates, and backend logic without drama… you’re our kind of person.
wefixit is building and maintaining a portfolio of PHP-based websites (mostly Drupal, sometimes WordPress). We’re looking for a site-building oriented full-stack freelancer to join our network on an hourly basis. You work at your time, at your pace, on your loved place.
This role is for someone who enjoys the full website lifecycle: content modeling, views, theming, integrations, performance, and long-term maintainability.
What you’ll do

Build and ship complete websites: structure, content types, views, blocks, templates, and behavior.

Implement front-end with Twig + HTML/CSS/JS for Drupal or the a php based workflow for Wordpress (and occasionally React where it makes sense).

Configure and extend Drupal (and sometimes WordPress) responsibly: modules, settings, permissions, workflows.

Integrate APIs and third-party services (forms, CRMs, analytics, marketing tools).

Handle maintenance work: updates, security patches, bug fixes, refactors, performance improvements.

Collaborate with design/marketing to keep output both beautiful and effective.
What we’re looking for (must have)

Strong comfort across the stack: PHP + modern theming + JS basics.

Solid Drupal and/or Wordpress understanding (site building + templating at minimum).

Ability to work independently from specs, communicate progress, and ask the right questions early.

Git + PR workflow discipline.

Debugging skills across FE/BE (templates, JS, PHP, config, environments).
Nice to have

Custom module development experience.

Performance skills (caching strategies, DB/query awareness, profiling).

DevOps comfort (Docker, CI, deploy flows, environments).

Accessibility and UX sensitivity.
